On Saturday, August lst, St. Francis Society Animal Rescue sponsored “Bowl for Pets’ Sake” at AMF University Lanes, 13109 56th Street in Temple Terrace, Florida. The event was a HUGE success, raising over $5,700 to help the animals of St. Francis. The day consisted of tons of fun with lots of good food, team bowling, silent auctions and a raffle drawing for a portable DVD player.
St. Francis Society Animal Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit 501-c-3 animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of sick, injured and stray domestic animals, as well as spaying/neutering and medical services of less fortunate animals. The animals that rescued are the animals that are stray, injured and homeless in the community. As St. Francis is an all-volunteer group, every dollar goes to the animals they save. Last year, St. Francis took in over 800 dogs and cats, 23 percent more than contributions in 2007.
